I feel like I've learned a lot over the semester. During my volunteer hours last year, I didn't pay nearly as much attention to the the key things I do now such as how to build a relationships with students, catering to different learning styles and how to work well with other teachers. For my Activity Forms, I turned in a time that I got to work one-on-one with a student to help him out with conjugation, two forms from me teaching Zumba classes to 4 different periods and finally, when I taught a minitature lesson for my IDS. My favorite would probably have to be teaching the mini-lesson because it was something new for me and the students were great. I took their questions during the lecture and asked questions to make sure that everyone was following along. I think I did a good job keeping students engaged because my lecture was short but the game to play to reinforce what they learned was their favorite part. The students in that class are really wonderful and like when I'm there to work with them. Overall, I think this semester was a huge success and I'm looking forward to learning even more this Spring.
What was your favorite class activity in your PDS? : )

Blogging Possibilities
Blog,
I personally never read blogs because I don't understand them too well. I think that people should only use blogs if they have some valuable information that they think others might find helpful. I'm not 100% sure why people read blogs either. I suppose that if you had a friend who moved to China for a year and you couldn't call them that it would a nice way to hear about what they're doing.
I'm also not exactly sure how this will help me in my PDS, I guess we'll find out! I always thought, though, that the best way to find an answer for a job related question was to ask a seasoned teacher in your own school who had knowledge of the other students and current situations. I suppose for this course, other students would be able to help but I'm not sure how many people will be checking this. I think that potentially, this could be a useful resource, but I'm still a bit skeptical. But I have been proven wrong before, and this could open up a whole new world of information for me.
